Mitigating teleworkers' perceived technological complexity and work strains through supportive team communication

Purpose Teleworkers need to use information and communication technology (ICT) communicate collaborate with their team members, however, when new complicated systems should be used, this can lead stress. Receiving adequate emotional support from members could reduce the stress caused by technological complexity subsequent work occupational strains. Design/methodology/approach Participants ( N = 400) teleworked at least half of working hours were employed in organizations a minimum 250 employees. Data online survey analyzed using structural equation modeling. Findings Results demonstrate that aspects informational contribute perceived social explaining more variance.
